Terms of Use
1. Introduction and acceptance
These Terms of Use govern access to and use of the UniLearnIt platform, which provides online university-level tutoring support to students.
By accessing, signing in to, registering on, submitting an application, making a payment, or otherwise using the platform, you represent that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree to the Terms, you must not use the platform.
These Terms complement the Privacy Policy, the Cookie Policy, and the Refund and Cancellation Policy, where applicable.
2. Description of the service
UniLearnIt is an online university tutoring service for students in Greece and the European Union.
The core service is live online teaching of university courses.
Recorded lessons, PDF files, notes, links, exercises, supplementary materials, chat, and announcements may be provided additionally to support organisation, revision, and follow-up.
The format, duration, content, schedule, and delivery method of each course may differ by course, term, cohort, or educational need.
UniLearnIt may modify, update, add, restrict, or discontinue platform features for maintenance, security, technical improvement, or educational organisation reasons.
3. Definitions and roles
For the purposes of these Terms:
Platform means the UniLearnIt website, web application, and related services.
User means any person who visits or uses the platform.
Student means a user who has registered or seeks to register for one or more courses.
Tutor means a partner or user who teaches or otherwise supports one or more courses.
Administrator means UniLearnIt personnel authorised to operate the platform, provide support, handle billing, payments, receivables, security, and technical matters.
Course means an organised educational unit with live teaching and/or supplementary materials.
Educational materials means, indicatively: live sessions, recorded lessons, PDF files, notes, text, links, exercises, announcements, course-related chat, or any other material made available through the platform.
4. Account and sign-in
Access to the platform is primarily via sign-in with a Google account.
Your account is personal. Sharing, transferring, selling, assigning, or otherwise making access available to a third party is prohibited.
You are responsible for the security of your Google account and devices and for all activity carried out through your account.
UniLearnIt may apply device limits, sign-in checks, logging of new devices, and other security measures to protect the platform and educational content.
If device limits are exceeded, activity is suspicious, accounts are shared, or there is other misuse, UniLearnIt may restrict, suspend, or terminate access.
You must provide accurate and up-to-date information where requested, including during student registration, course declarations, or tutor applications.
5. Student registration and course declaration
To access full courses, you may need to complete student registration, select a cohort or department, and declare your courses.
Submitting a course declaration does not mean automatic approval or immediate access to all content.
Access may depend on:
approval of registration;
the active status of the course;
payment or arrangement of balances;
technical access rules;
the educational rules applicable to each course;
and compliance with these Terms.
UniLearnIt may approve, reject, freeze, cancel, expire, or amend the status of a course declaration in line with platform rules and any relevant arrangement with the student.
6. Access to courses and content
Access to live lessons, videos, PDFs, notes, chat, announcements, and other content is granted only to users with the appropriate authorisation.
Access is individual, personal, non-transferable, and solely for personal educational use.
UniLearnIt may enforce access controls by course, user, role, registration status, payment status, or content visibility.
Access to video, PDF, or other protected material may rely on technical measures that restrict use to authorised users.
Where provided, access to older or archived lectures may be subject to separate rules on access, pricing, settlement, or time-limited availability.
UniLearnIt may restrict or suspend access to content due to unpaid balances, pending payment, misuse, technical issues, breach of the Terms, or security reasons.
7. Free or limited preview
Some courses may offer a free or limited preview only where this is explicitly stated on that course’s page or description. There is no general guarantee of a free preview, a fixed number of free sessions, or one or two free lectures.
A preview may cover a limited set of information, limited materials, trial access, a video, or a live trial lesson via Zoom or another conferencing tool, depending on what is announced for that offering.
Free or limited preview:
does not constitute full enrolment in the course;
does not confer a right of permanent access;
does not confer a right to all educational materials;
does not create an obligation on UniLearnIt to continue providing free access.
Even when free or trial access is offered, intellectual property and acceptable-use rules apply in full.
Copying, downloading, republication, screen recording, sharing, resale, or any unauthorised use of free or trial content is prohibited.
8. Payments, instalments, and balances
Fees, amounts, instalments, due dates, and financial obligations depend on the course, term, registration, arrangement with the student, or information shown on the platform.
Where available on the platform, online payment is processed exclusively through Stripe. UniLearnIt does not operate IRIS transfers, IBAN payments, cash collection, or other non-Stripe flows as integrated in-platform checkout or billing journeys.
Any payment method outside Stripe is strictly off-platform and applies only where explicitly agreed in writing or otherwise expressly confirmed with UniLearnIt; the mere mention of a method does not imply it is integrated into the platform or available in every case.
The existence or mention of a specific payment channel does not mean it is always available for all users, all courses, or all situations.
When online payment via Stripe is used, you are directed to Stripe’s checkout environment. UniLearnIt does not store payment card details on its own website.
For payments outside Stripe-based checkout, activating or continuing access may require confirmation from UniLearnIt.
UniLearnIt may record and manage instalments, balances, special arrangements, partial payments, or other financial setups.
If a payment fails, is pending, is late, remains outstanding, or cannot be verified as settled, UniLearnIt may restrict, suspend, or withhold access to courses or content.
You are responsible for monitoring your payment obligations and for contacting UniLearnIt if anything is unclear, incorrect, or needs clarification.
9. Cancellations, refunds, and withdrawal
The rules governing cancellation, refunds, and statutory withdrawal (where applicable) are outlined at a high level in these Terms. The detailed Refund and Cancellation Policy applies to cancellations, refunds, and withdrawal.
Refund or cancellation outcomes may vary depending on:
the type of course;
whether live sessions have already taken place;
whether digital content access has been activated;
whether video, PDF, or archived materials have been accessed;
the payment method used;
special arrangements or instalments;
and applicable law.
Immediate access to digital educational content may affect the right of withdrawal, where such a right applies.
Before payment or activation of access, you may be asked to accept the Terms and acknowledge the payment, access, and refund/cancellation conditions that apply to your purchase.
10. Educational materials and intellectual property
Platform educational materials are protected by applicable intellectual property law and belong to UniLearnIt and/or lawful rights holders, such as tutors, partners, or third-party providers.
Educational materials include, indicatively:
live lessons;
recorded lessons;
past or archived lectures;
PDF files;
notes;
text;
links;
exercises or supplementary materials;
announcements;
course-related chat;
and any other content provided through the platform.
You are granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the materials solely for personal education and only for as long as you have valid access.
Without prior written consent, you must not:
copy;
reproduce;
download or store content where not expressly permitted;
perform screen recording or screen capture of educational materials, unless expressly permitted;
republish;
upload to third-party platforms;
sell or resell;
share your account;
share access links;
distribute PDFs or videos;
republish live or recorded lessons;
scrape;
or circumvent technical protection measures.
Violations may result in immediate restriction or suspension of access, without prejudice to any other lawful remedy available to UniLearnIt.
11. Technical protection measures and anti-abuse
To protect the platform, educational materials, and users, UniLearnIt may apply technical and organisational safeguards.
These may include, indicatively:
device limits;
sign-in checks;
logging of access attempts;
security logs;
personalised watermarks on video or PDF;
time-limited video access;
entitlement checks;
rate limits;
and other measures to deter or trace misuse.
Such measures do not guarantee absolute technical prevention of copying or recording; any such conduct is nevertheless expressly prohibited by these Terms.
Attempting to bypass, disable, or tamper with any technical protection measure is prohibited.
12. Chat, announcements, and user conduct
The platform may offer chat, announcements, notifications, or other communication channels for educational and operational purposes.
Chat and communication tools must be used respectfully, courteously, and only for matters related to courses or operation of the platform.
The following are prohibited:
abusive or offensive messages;
harassment;
threats;
racist, sexist, or otherwise unlawful speech;
spam;
unsolicited promotional messages;
sending unrelated or harmful content;
and any conduct that disrupts lessons or other users’ experience.
UniLearnIt may review, restrict, conceal, or remove content that violates the Terms and may restrict abusive users.
Tutors may communicate with students in the context of the courses they teach.
Administrators may access chat and related communications data for operations, support, security, and compliance with the Terms, as described in the Privacy Policy.
13. Roles and personnel access
Students may access courses and materials for which they are authorised.
Tutors may access only the data and tools needed to teach and manage the courses in which they are involved.
Indicatively, tutors may access class lists, course chat, announcements, and educational materials relating to their courses.
Tutors do not have access to student billing, payments, receivables, or security logs.
Administrators may access data required to operate the platform, support users, handle billing and payments, manage receivables, maintain security and technical logs, and enforce compliance with the Terms.
Each role’s access must be limited to its intended purpose.
14. Tutor applications
Through the relevant page or form, prospective tutors may submit an application to work with UniLearnIt.
An application may include contact details, a CV, a LinkedIn link, a website, and other academic or professional information.
Submitting an application does not create an obligation to engage you, form a contract, or guarantee acceptance.
UniLearnIt may accept, reject, or decline to pursue an application at its discretion.
Tutors who collaborate with UniLearnIt must maintain confidentiality, use student data only for teaching purposes, and respect intellectual property and platform-use rules.
15. Testimonials - “What students say”
The website or platform may display testimonials, comments, screenshots, or excerpts of student messages-for example thank-you notes, achievement comments, or grades.
Testimonials may come from SMS, messaging apps, or other channels, indicatively.
UniLearnIt selects, edits, and publishes testimonials.
When publishing, personal details such as phone numbers, surnames, or other identifiers may be concealed or anonymised, especially where a student requests this.
Where required, publication is subject to the student’s consent.
Students may request removal or further anonymisation of a testimonial by contacting info@unilearnit.com.
Testimonials reflect individual experiences and do not guarantee any specific grade, exam result, or academic outcome.
16. Suspension, restriction, or termination of access
UniLearnIt may restrict, suspend, or terminate a user’s access to an account, course, or content if there is:
breach of these Terms;
account sharing;
unauthorised access;
copying or sharing educational materials;
screen recording or republication;
circumvention of technical measures;
pending payment or outstanding balance;
chat misuse;
harassment or offensive conduct;
exceeded device limits;
suspicious activity;
or other serious violation of platform rules.
Suspension or restriction does not limit UniLearnIt’s ability to pursue other remedies.
17. Service availability and third-party platforms
UniLearnIt makes reasonable efforts to keep the platform running smoothly but does not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or faultless operation.
Live lessons, video, payments, connectivity, or other features may rely on third-party platforms or providers, such as Google, Zoom, Stripe, a third-party video provider, or infrastructure vendors.
UniLearnIt is not liable for outages, delays, or issues caused by third-party providers, technical failures, maintenance, force majeure, or circumstances beyond UniLearnIt’s reasonable control, to the extent permitted by law.
If a live lesson is cancelled or disrupted for technical reasons, UniLearnIt may, where appropriate, offer a makeup session, a new date, alternative access, or another reasonable remedy.
18. Limitation of liability
UniLearnIt provides educational support but does not guarantee any specific grade, exam pass, academic result, or performance.
Each student’s outcome depends on many factors, including personal effort, attendance, independent study, university requirements, and exam conditions.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, UniLearnIt shall not be liable for indirect, consequential, or special losses connected with use or inability to use the platform.
Nothing in these Terms restricts consumer rights that cannot be limited under mandatory law.
19. Personal data and cookies
Personal data processing is governed by UniLearnIt’s Privacy Policy.
Cookies and similar technologies are described in the Privacy Policy or in a standalone Cookie Policy, if published.
These Terms do not replace the Privacy Policy.
20. Changes to the Terms
UniLearnIt may amend these Terms for operational, technical, legal, commercial, or educational reasons.
Material changes may be communicated via the platform, email, or other appropriate means.
Continued use of the platform after notice of updated Terms may constitute acceptance of the revised Terms, to the extent permitted by law.
21. Applicable law and competent courts
These Terms are governed by the laws of Greece.
Any dispute arising from use of the platform or these Terms shall be subject to the courts determined by applicable law, without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection rules that may apply based on your place of residence.
22. Contact
For questions about these Terms or use of the platform, contact UniLearnIt at:
